Artificial intelligence is driving the modern-day human lives through augmented reality, virtual reality, and mixed reality in almost all industry domains starting from medicine, and education, to marketing, gaming, and manufacturing. There has been a paradigm shift from actually having the real experiences to having augmented virtual experiences which are more personalized. It can leave a promising impact on consumers, doctors, healthcare experts, and production specialists.
In this talk, we will demonstrate with examples how AR/VR has transformed the industry, more specifically being accelerated by the pandemic. The objective of this talk is to emphasize how AR/VR strategies have been greatly improved using traditional and deep learning techniques. We would explore the AR/VR architectural stack and study how AI-based digital content has been overlaid onto real-world objects. In this context, we would highlight the role played by advanced NLP text and Speech processing algorithms, object recognition, and motion tracking innovations in revolutionizing AR/VR/MR. Further, we would investigate the role of digital twins being deployed at an increasing pace to simulate AR/VR environments. By the end of the talk, we would become aware of the risks and threats imposed by AI in implementing these technologies. The audience will thus be equipped to understand the importance of AI ethics in AR/VR in the face of regulating AI.
